Phil's Transport Ltd. started in 1997 in MacGregor, Manitoba — a farming town of about 900 people, an hour west of Winnipeg on the Trans-Canada Highway.
We began the way most prairie trucking companies begin: one operator, a deck trailer and a reputation to build. Nearly thirty years later we're still in MacGregor, still family-run, and still hauling the same kind of freight — the awkward, heavy, oversize loads that a dry van can't take.
What changed is the size of the fleet and how far it runs. What didn't change is who answers the phone.

WHAT WE DO
Flat Deck Specialists, Not Generalists
Flat decks, step decks and the equipment that goes with them — tarps, chains, straps, coil racks, permits. That means we haul the things that get built with: structural steel, sheet metal and coils, lumber, poles and beams, building supplies, agricultural and construction machinery, vehicles, and general freight that's simply too big or too heavy for a trailer with walls.
We run throughout Manitoba, across Canada, and into the United States under USDOT 784926 and MC 383052.

Decisions get made by people you can actually reach. When there’s a problem with a load, you’re not filing a ticket — you’re talking to someone who can fix it.

We Hire Drivers We’d Want Hauling Our Own Freight
Every driver we put on a deck has real open-deck experience. Anyone can pull a trailer down the highway; not everyone can secure a 45,000 lb load of steel so it’s still exactly where it started 1,800 kilometres later.

<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">With more than 20 years of experience in the trucking and transportation industry, I’ve built my career from the ground up — starting behind the wheel and working my way into operations, leadership, and business ownership at <strong>Phil’s Transport Limited</strong>.<br /><br /></p><p>My experience began hauling grain and livestock before transitioning into flat deck and specialized transportation. Those years on the road gave me firsthand knowledge of what it takes to move freight safely, efficiently, and reliably, while understanding the challenges drivers and customers face every day.<br /><br /></p><p>Today, I’m focused on leading Phil’s Transport and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a growing transportation company. We specialize in <strong>flat deck, step deck, oversize and over-dimensional freight, machinery and equipment, steel and building materials, and specialized transportation throughout Canada and the United States</strong>.<br /><br /></p><p>I believe strong relationships are at the heart of this industry.
